Bookings and cancellations

Appointments are held for you specifically, and because we take one dog at a time an empty slot cannot be refilled at short notice. Please give us at least 24 hours if you need to cancel or move. Arriving more than fifteen minutes late may mean we shorten the groom or rebook you. Repeated no-shows may mean we ask for a deposit on future bookings.

Pricing

Prices on this site are ranges, not quotes. We confirm the price at drop-off once we have seen and felt the coat. If we find something during the groom that materially changes the job — severe matting, a skin condition, a dog that needs two handlers — we stop and call you before continuing, and you decide.

Matting

We will not brush out a severely matted coat, because it hurts. Where a coat is pelted we will recommend clipping it short, and if you decline we may decline the groom. Clipping a badly matted coat carries real risks no groomer can eliminate: the skin underneath is often already damaged, and nicks, redness, sores and self-trauma afterwards are possible. We will talk you through it before we start, and by proceeding you accept that risk.

Health, age and behaviour

Tell us about medical conditions, medication, seizures, recent surgery, heart or airway problems, and any history of biting or bad grooming experiences. We may decline or stop a groom if we believe continuing is unsafe for your dog or for us, and you will be charged only for the time and work completed. We do not sedate; that is a veterinary decision. Grooming can occasionally reveal or aggravate pre-existing conditions in older or fragile dogs, and we will always discuss that risk with you first.

Vaccinations and fleas

We ask that dogs are up to date on core vaccinations appropriate to their age, per your vet’s advice. If we find fleas we will let you know and complete a flea bath, which is chargeable, so we are not seeding every other dog in the shop.

Payment, collection and limits

Payment is due at collection. Please collect your dog at the agreed time; we are a small shop without kennels and cannot hold dogs late. Our liability for any claim is limited to the amount paid for the groom concerned, and nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by Colorado law. These terms are governed by Colorado law.
