If you are trying to work out where to start, it usually comes down to the coat. If it grows and needs cutting — poodles, doodles, shih tzus, most terriers — the full groom page is the one to read. If the coat does not grow but the dog sheds everywhere, you want bath and brush with a de-shedding treatment. If the nails are clicking on the floor and nothing else is urgent, that is a walk-in and needs no appointment at all.
